Star Wars' Carrie Fisher hospitalised after bipolar disorder flares up on cruise ship

27 February 2013

Washington, Feb. 27 (ANI): 'Star Wars' actress Carrie Fisher has been hospitalised following a bizarre performance on board a Caribbean cruise ship last week, which her representative claimed was caused by the actress' bipolar disorder.

The video footage of the performance, which took place last week on board the Holland America Eurodam in the Caribbean, shows the 56-year-old actress slurring a couple off-key songs, reported.

According to reports, Fisher - featured on the cruise as a "surprise" celebrity guest - was wasted at the time of the show.

Her representative said that there was a medical incident related to Fisher's bipolar disorder and she went to the hospital briefly to adjust her medication and is feeling much better now.

Fisher, who is a recovering drug addict, has publicly discussed her bipolar disorder in the past. (ANI)
