'Star Wars' movies to release yearly from 2015

18 April 2013

Washington, April 18 (ANI): Walt Disney Co. has planned to release 'Star Wars' films each year, starting 2015.

According to Disney's chairman Alan Horn, the series of films, set in a galaxy far, far away, will start with 'Star Wars: Episode VII,' which is directed by J.J. Abrams, CBS News reported.

Horn, who made the announcement during a presentation at the movie theatre convention CinemaCon in Las Vegas on Wednesday, said that the studio will then alternate films in the new 'Star Wars' trilogies with spin off films drawn from the same universe. (ANI)
