Subhash Gahi has a big surprise for the film industry on his Birthday today! After a long and arduous audition period the filmmaker has finally found his heroine for his upcoming ambitious project KAANCHI. Bong beauty Misti has been finalized to play the title role in KAANCHI

This is the 11th new face he is launching in his career and After Meenakshi, Manisha, Mahima, here is another Madam M added to the Mukta Arts Talent Find Mantle.

Mishti, the 21 year old, light-eyed girl from Kolkata will be paired opposite AKAASH VANI star Kartik Tiwari. Subhash Ghai has once again invested his faith in new and upcoming talent, giving them the shot at fame that they deserve.

An elated Subhash Ghai said, "It is really a tough job to write a good script which promises to be a blockbuster, and great story with great characters, particularly the protagonist and the most toughest job is to pick up a newcomer to play the title role instead of an established star. It was very intense struggle to find a KAANCHI, I went on auditioning the most beautiful and talented girls. I auditioned around 350 girls for the role but most of them were devoid of talent and could not fit into the script as the way I had imagined."

"Fortunately one of my assistant recommended Misti who had been trying her luck in ads and films; I saw her pictures and decided to call her for the audition. I knew in the very first shot that she was the KAANCHI I was looking for. Today I am glad that my hunt is over. What I have to do is now is to just make a beautiful film KAANCHI," said the filmmaker.

The film is set to go on the floors by Feb 18.

KAANCHI is the story of an innocent girl from Uttarakhand whose father, an ex-army man, gets shot. This event turns her life upside down and after a certain point, she refuses to be the victim, stand up to fight her way out and emerges as a winner.

The film is all set to release on Independence Day i.e. 15 August 2013.
