Director Subhash Kapoor and producer Vidhu Vinod Chopra, who were supposed to team up for the third film in the Munnabhai series, are planning to meet up soon to discuss the fate of the film, now that Sanjay Dutt has been convicted and sentenced by the Supreme Court.
Subhash Kapoor was quoted saying that any 'Munnabhai' flick is unimaginable without Sanjay Dutt and that he will be having a meeting with Chopra soon to discuss the fate of the film, which has not gone on floors yet. Kapoor also expressed his sorrow at the 'harsh punishment' that Sanjay has received.
The Supreme Court today upheld Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt's Arms Act conviction and sentenced him to 5 years imprisonment for his role in the 1993 bomb blasts case. The court also gave Sanjay a period of four weeks to surrender. Dutt, who has already spent 18 months behind bars, will now serve a sentence of about three and a half years.
