Sunil Bohra Denies Considering Ranbir Kapoor-Imran Khan For 'Mere Apne' Remake

A few days back, it had been reported that Sunil Bohra has acquired the remake rights of 1971 film Mere Apne and that he is considering roping in Ranbir Kapoor and Imran Khan to play the roles of the protagonists, which were played by Vinod Khanna and Shatrughan Sinha in the original.

However, Bohra recently rubbished the speculations and revealed that though the cast has not been locked yet, he is definitely not considering either Kapoor or Khan for the roles as he wants slightly senior actors for the roles. He also added that the remake would be set in Gujarat.

The original Mere Apne revolved around two small time hoodlums, who bury their differences for the same of a lonely and abandoned woman, who they respect and love.
