Tabu Took Up 'Life Of Pi' As She Was An Ang Lee Fan

Actress Tabu was well aware that she would be questioned over her decision to work in Life Of Pi but she stated that she opted for the film, despite the short role, as it gave her a chance to work with the Oscar-winning filmmaker Ang Lee.

She was recently quoted saying that it was an incredible experience for her, personally and professionally. She only thought that she was getting to work with Ang, whose work she hugely admired. Tabu was at the press conference of the 43rd International Film Festival of India, where the film opened the 11-day long festival on November 20.

Tabu, 41, plays the role of Pi's mother in the film, which is based on Yann Martel's novel. The film is set to release on November 23.
