This year's best dressed - Deepika Padukone

Year 2012 saw the rise and fall of many a star in the best and worst dressed list. While regulars like Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Priyanka Chopra exited the best dressed list, giving way to a fresh new fashion brigade, some worst dressed remain on this year's list, because they can't just seem to get their style right. Team Yahoo! Lifestyle brings you a look at who made it to the top of the style charts.

Deepika Padukone has arrived with oodles of sexy attitude that makes heads turn instantly. She is glamorous and takes one to dizzying heights with her classic looks and great fashion sense. She's able to mix bling ensembles with sheer elegance and grace.

Even when dressed in saris, her toned midriff and height help her carry off any outfit. Her attitude is her best style statement and helps her carry any look. Deepika teams her shorts with figure hugging blazers and her accessories are always eye catching and in sync with her outfits. She also wears figure accentuating gowns, both short and long that calls attention to her athletic body making her look very glamorous.

Even summery looking maxis make her look fabulous and she has the knack to pick out the right ensembles that flatter her figure and complexion. Her style sense on most occasions seems very effortless and thus very appealing. She usually throws together jeans and a tee, but it's her accessorizing that gives her a very high-glam quotient.

She is also very bold with her colour palate and indulges in hot pinks, fluorescent pistachio accents and blazing orange to add the high-fashion edge to her look. Her make-up is always subtle making her look very pleasant.
