This year's best dressed - Kareena Kapoor

Year 2012 saw the rise and fall of many a star in the best and worst dressed list. While regulars like Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Priyanka Chopra exited the best dressed list, giving way to a fresh new fashion brigade, some worst dressed remain on this year's list, because they can't just seem to get their style right. Team Yahoo! Lifestyle brings you a look at who made it to the top of the style charts.

Kareena Kapoor can safely divide her life into two parts. Before, and after Saif Ali Khan.

Fresh from her marriage to the Nawab of Pataudi, we can only say Kareena glistens in the beauty that she first experienced when she was introduced to Saif on the sets of Tashan. That was a time when we refused to believe the mild-boggling change Kareena went through; from a chubby girl, with a bad choice in hair colour and a horrific style sense to this incredibly sexy, size-zero diva.

The change was, of course, brought about by strict power yoga and the magic diet of a certain Rujuta Diwekar, who has gained also immense success after launching her book on Kareena's size-zero weight-loss secrets.

This was a new Kareena we saw. She wore itsy-bitsy bikinis with confidence, and looked ravishing in everything from a dress to a bathrobe. How can one find fault in her style when absolutely everything looks awesome on her? However, she has gained a little weight, because according to her, Saif thought her size-zero figure looked like a "hanger".

In her 2012 film, Heroine, director Madhur Bhandarkar admits she is one of the most expensive stars to work with, because the 130 dresses she wore were sourced from the biggest fashion hubs of the world. In fact, one dress cost Rs 1.5 crore!

But we can safely say, we don't mind! We are more than eager to know what Kareena Kapoor will wear next, because whatever she wears turns up in stores soon after. That is power of her style.
