Vin Diesel to star in 'Kojak' film remake

New York, Dec. 18 (ANI): A 'Kojak' remake with Vin Diesel playing the tough-talking New York detective - made famous by the equally bald Telly Savalas is under production, it has been revealed.

According to 'Skyfall' screenwriters Neal Purvis and Robert Wade have been roped in to update the popular police procedural that ran on CBS from 1973-1978 into a film, the New York Daily News reported.

Diesel, who would also be a producer on the film, has just wrapped 'Fast and Furious 6,' the latest installment in his popular car chase franchise, and 'Riddick.'
