Why Sallu refused ‘Bombay Talkies’ song

Sources say that the star refused to be a part of the grand song because of SRK’s presence

To commemorate the completion of 100 years of Indian Cinema, the makers of Bombay Talkies have brought together the biggest names of Bollywood. The song’s star cast includes the Khans — Shah Rukh, Aamir and Saif  — Akshay Kumar, Ranveer Singh and Ranbir Kapoor. Bollywood’s most glamorous leading ladies will also be seen, which means fans of Kareena Kapoor, Vidya Balan, Rani Mukherji, Priyanka Chopra, Sonam Kapoor, Sridevi, Karisma Kapoor, Juhi Chawla, Deepika Padukone and Madhuri Dixit. However one star is missing from action- Salman Khan.

Sources say that Salman was approached to be a part of the song but when he learnt that arch rival Shah Rukh Khan will also be there, he backed out. After their very public spat five years ago, both the Khans have made sure that they don’t cross each other’s path and have consciously avoided sharing space in the events. While Shah Rukh has been forthcoming when questions about Salman would be asked to him, Sallu has chosen to not speak about the spat. Looks like reconciliation between the two stars is not on cards anytime soon.
